WP2 – Deploying Learning Management System and Innovative Curriculum Design
WP2 laid the pedagogical and technological foundations of SOHO: it found out what the tourism sector actually needs, designed a competency-based curriculum in three modules, and put the Moodle learning platform in place.
Objectives
The work package researched and designed a training curriculum that addresses the specific skills and knowledge needs of students, tourism professionals and university teachers, kept relevant to the trends of the tourism industry; it built a structured, inclusive and accessible programme that is innovative in content, skills and teaching methods; and it provided a centralised Learning Management System that delivers the materials anytime and anywhere, tracks the progress of every learner and offers a personalised, self-paced experience.
