SOHO training on Smart Accommodation held in Bangladesh

From 14 to 18 September 2026, more than 50 academics from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Jahangirnagar University (JU) took part in a SOHO training session on Smart Accommodation, delivered by Dr. Vladimir Tanasiev (UNSTPB, SOHO coordinator). The programme covered smart tourism as a strategic approach, building automation and the main communication protocols of intelligent buildings – Modbus, M-Bus, KNX, DALI and BACnet – as well as IoT applications for more efficient and sustainable accommodation. The interactive sessions gave participants practical insight into current technologies and strengthened the academic collaboration at the heart of the project.
