5th Transnational Project Meeting – Lyon, 27–28 November 2025

On 27–28 November 2025, Université Lumière Lyon 2 hosted the 5th Transnational Project Meeting of the SOHO project at IUT Lumière (Campus Porte des Alpes, Bron). The meeting gathered 22 academic staff members from the partner universities in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Malaysia, Romania, Italy and France.

The first day was devoted to project working sessions: each partner presented the progress of its work package and the status of the SOHO modules – Smart Transportation (Malaysia), Smart Renewable Energy (Italy), Smart Sustainable Accommodation (Romania), the Smart Tourism Knowledge & Competence Center project (Bangladesh) and the integration roadmap of the University of Da Nang (Vietnam) – followed by discussions on pedagogical harmonisation and adaptation of the content to students, professionals and decision makers.

The second day opened the project to external perspectives, with invited talks by ONLYLYON Tourisme & Congrès on Lyon’s sustainable tourism strategy, by AF3V on cycle tourism and bike–train intermodality, and by Université Lumière Lyon 2 on its tourism programmes. The consortium then set the next steps: the training sessions at Politecnico di Milano, the preparation of WP5 and the last project meeting and closing conference.
