Sin Chew Daily: UTAR Vice President presents SOHO smart-tourism project at Guilin forum

Sin Chew Daily reported on 3 April 2024 that Prof. Choong Chee Keong, UTAR Vice President (Student Progress and Alumni Relations), delivered a keynote at the Third Guilin Development Forum in China on 22 March 2024 on innovative practices in tourism-city development. He presented the international SOHO project on smart, optimised, high-quality and on-demand tourism education, with partners from Romania, Italy, France, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bangladesh and around RM4 million in funding, highlighting smart technology, renewable energy and digital innovation for sustainable tourism in line with Malaysia’s National Tourism Policy 2020–2030.
