
SOHO’s 4th transnational meeting in Bucharest strengthens collaboration for sustainable tourism education
UTAR News reports on the fourth transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ SOHO project, held on 19–20 May 2025 at POLITEHNICA Bucharest with nine universities from Romania, France, Italy, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Malaysia; UTAR and USM were represented by Prof. Choong Chee Keong, Prof. Lau Lin Sea, Dr. Lam Siew Yong, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Aileen Tan and Mr. Sim Yee Kwang. Delegates refined the three modules – Smart Renewable Energy, Smart Sustainable Accommodation and Smart Transportation – and discussed content development and dissemination aligned with the UN SDGs, reaffirming their commitment to future-ready, inclusive tourism curricula.
