A widespread task force for smart tourism: the European SOHO project kicks off at POLIMI

Politecnico di Milano’s Department of Energy reports on hosting the kick-off meeting of the European SOHO project, which gathered nine higher-education institutions from Romania, France, Italy, Malaysia, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Funded under ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-2 (Agreement 101129336), SOHO aims to strengthen knowledge and competence centres for smart tourism in third countries, using smart technologies, renewable energy and digital solutions to reduce tourism’s carbon footprint. Professors Sonia Leva and Emanuele Ogliari coordinate POLIMI’s contribution, which focuses on the renewable-energy training module.
