Nanyang Siang Pau reported on 13 April 2024 that UTAR Vice President Prof. Choong Chee Keong addressed the Third Guilin Development Forum in China with a keynote on tourism-city development and business-environment optimisation. He presented the cross-national SOHO project on smart, optimised, quality and on-demand tourism innovation education, involving partners from Romania, Italy, France, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bangladesh with about RM4 million in funding, and emphasised smart-technology integration, curriculum optimisation, learning management systems and governance frameworks for sustainable tourism.<\/p>\n
