WP5 makes SOHO last beyond the project: Knowledge & Competence Centres in the partner universities of Southeast Asia, partnerships with government agencies, tourism boards and industry, a business plan for the courses and policy recommendations for decision makers.<\/p>\n

Objectives<\/h3>\n

The work package develops Knowledge & Competence Centres that act as regional centres of excellence for smart sustainable tourism; it builds the partnerships with public authorities, tourism boards and the private sector that make the centres sustainable; it provides training, mentoring and capacity building for local stakeholders and pilots new technologies and practices; it monitors the impact of the centres on the local economy and tourism; and it makes sure they are inclusive and accessible, in particular for marginalised groups.<\/p>\n

Where we are<\/h3>\n

The structure and operating model of the centres were agreed at the Bucharest meeting (May 2025) and the premises were set at the Lyon meeting (November 2025); the partnerships and the policy recommendations are under way.<\/p>\n
