Each module follows the SOHO syllabus model: target group, skill sets (hard, soft and meta skills), mastery level, module description with keywords, outcomes and prerequisites, teaching plan, materials and delivery methods, duration and assessment. Competences were derived from real job profiles – for example a transportation planning technician, an urban mobility project coordinator and an eco-tourism travel-package designer in the Lyon area.

Module 1 – Sustainable and Smart Transportation in Tourism (ULL)

Led by Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Prof. Aïcha Sekhari, Thanh-Ha Bargas, Yacine Ouzrout). 34 contact hours (17 course, 17 fieldwork and computer lab) plus 20 hours of individual study. Units: sustainable public transport for tourism destinations; smart-city transportation solutions; Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) in tourism; environmental and social impacts; data analytics for tourism transportation; sustainable destination planning. Labs use GIS software, carbon-footprint calculation and data analysis in Excel; fieldwork includes interviews with tourists, businesses and professionals. Assessment: online test (30 %) and oral final project (60 %).

Module 2 – Smart Sustainable Accommodation (UNSTPB)

Course “Digital Technologies in Residential and Tertiary Buildings”, led by Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Tanasiev, for tourism staff, engineers and IT specialists. 40 hours (20 course, 20 laboratory) plus 14 hours of individual study. Units: smart devices in buildings; IoT for smart buildings; sensors and actuators; smart lighting; smart climate control; smart energy management and monitoring; building integration and automation platforms – with nine hands-on lab sessions on PLC programming (CODESYS), Modbus/KNX/MQTT devices, cloud integration and BMS configuration. Assessment: two course tests (40 %), two lab tests (40 %), oral project (20 %).

Module 3 – Smart Renewable Energy (POLIMI)

Led by Assoc. Prof. Emanuele Ogliari, Politecnico di Milano. 40 hours (20 course, 20 laboratory) plus 14 hours of individual study. Units: electrical and solar parameters; the PV module electrical model; PV system components and layouts; sizing criteria; storage batteries; hybrid solar systems; PV performance, production assessment and forecast. Laboratories cover measurements and safety, I-V tracing, module parameter measurement and outdoor PV layouts with grid connection. Assessment: course tests (40 %), lab tests (40 %), oral project (20 %).

Transversal competences, teaching and certification

All modules share transversal competences in communication, community engagement and social responsibility, and organisation, and require 75 % attendance and a minimum of 5/10 in each assessment. Delivery is practice-oriented: flipped classroom with pre-recorded lectures on the SOHO Moodle platform, case studies, field trips, problem-based learning and co-creation projects with local stakeholders. Achievements are recognised through digital badges (micro-credentials) and module certificates.

About this deliverable

Deliverable

D2.2 – Training curriculum

Work package

WP2 – Preparation

Lead partner

ULL – Université Lumière Lyon 2 (co-leading: POLIMI, UNSTPB; all partners contributed)

Submitted

31 October 2024 (final version)

Based on

D2.1 – Training Needs Analysis

Modules

Sustainable and Smart Transportation in Tourism · Smart Sustainable Accommodation · Smart Renewable Energy

← Back to Results

Funded by the European Union.
